It is very similar to meditation and has it roots from buddhist meditation.  Making you intensely aware of what is happening in the moment, without interpretation or judgement. Practicing mindfulness involves guided imagery, practices to relax the mind and body, breathing methods and helps reduce stress. MBSR is a tool that allows people to fight stress and add positivity into their lives.
